定冠詞的用法

1. 雙方都知道的人或物。

Pass me the book.

2. 特指的或上文已提的過(guò)的人或物。

The boy with glasses is Jim.

I have a book. The book is very interesting.

3. 表示世界上獨(dú)一無(wú)二的事物。

The sun gives us light and heat.

4. 用在序數(shù)詞，形容詞最高級(jí)前以及對(duì)兩個(gè)人或事物進(jìn)行比較時(shí)起特指作用的比較級(jí)前。

The second lesson is the most difficult in Book.

She is the taller of the two girls.

5. 用在姓氏的復(fù)數(shù)前表示一家人或夫婦二人。

The Smith are watching TV.

6. 用于江河，海洋，山脈，群島，沙漠等專有名詞前或由普通名詞構(gòu)成的專有名詞前。

the Great Wall;the Yellow River

7. 與某些形容詞連用表示一類人

the rich;the young

8. 用在表示方位或樂(lè)器名稱前的名詞之前。

The sun rises in the east.

He likes playing the piano.

9. 用在固定詞組中。

in the daytime;at the age of;in the open air;at the same time;in the end;on the other hand等。

注意：定冠詞用法口訣

特指雙熟悉，上文已提及;世上只唯一，序數(shù)最高級(jí);某些專有名，習(xí)語(yǔ)及樂(lè)器。
